Contract Manager – Pretoria

SkyNet South Africa (Pty) Ltd requires an individual to fill the above position. The successful incumbent will be based in Pretoria and will report directly to the Closed Distribution Manager.


To ensure the contracts Operation output are aligned and maintained effectively to the required Contract Service Levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily contract & Service Level Agreement
  • The Resources to be managed are
    • Drivers
    • Hygienist Controller
    • Inspectors
    • Supervisors
    • POD Scanning Clerk
  • Operational Planning, Fleet management, administration and allocation where applicable
  • Analysis of data to identify trends/shortfalls and implement efficiencies
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with ISO specifications
  • Budget Management and cost containment
  • Ensure that amendments to or implementation of new business processes are done proactively to meet changing demands, maintain productivity levels at agreed SLA Levels
  • Review or change any onsite policies, procedures and processes quarterly and ensure they are still relevant
  • Ensure all processes are clearly defined and understood to ensure minimum revenue loss and maximum revenue generation
  • Keep up to date with and implement client policies, SA law and best practice
  • Constantly review activities to ensure optimal work progress
  • Daily & weekly and monthly reporting to JNJ and SkyNet management
  • Drive implementations of plans and monitor achievement of stipulated goals so that objectives are met
  • Identify new growth opportunities within the contract
  • Train staff on all critical procedures to ensure 100% compliance and adherence to procedures
  • Build a strong team with common understanding and respect of each other’s different personalities and resources
  • Maintain a disciplined, accountable and harmonious work environment
  • Make sure that all staff are trained internally with J&J requirements and SkyNet equipment
  • Ensure that all are fully trained on the PPE requirements for Client and SkyNet
  • Manage deliverables:
    • Operation cost (Budget) (Overtime,Extra vehicle hire)
    • Contract Service Levels
    • Operational efficiency (99 % delivery OTIF)
    • Number of Missed collections
    • Handheld devices metrics
    • Effective resource utilisation
    • POD’s
    • 95% of Operational efficiency
    • 100 attainment to plan
    • Work relating to the month-end close process is of an ongoing and regular nature
    • Year- end scanning up to date for external audit and internal audit


  • Matric
  • South African citizen
  • Clear criminal record
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Logistics (would be advantageous).
  • Min 3-5 years management experience in the logistics industry with a team of at least 7 staff
  • Experience of relevant operation IT System will be advantageous
